The Duplex Seminar & Summit (hosted by Stainless Steel World) will return this summer but to a brand new location. The two day event will be held at the Plazzo dei Congressi conference centre in the picturesque lakeside town of Stresa near Milan.
The popular event will adopt a new format in 2012 by merging exhibitions with conferences. The interactive conference will incorporate workshops, presentations and seminars. Whilst, the exhibition stand’s will showcase the latest products and services in the marketplace. The organisers of the event aim to create an informal environment in which experts are encouraged to discuss their day-to-day experiences.

David Smith (Sales Director- Stainless Steel)
David heads up our Stainless Division. He has more than 25 years’ experience gained solely in the stainless plate and plate processing market where he has worked with mills, stockholders and profilers. David is responsible for all stainless sales in the U.K. and assists the Group’s export team to develop sales of stainless plate products worldwide.
Lawrence Charleston (Export Sales Assistant)
Lawrence is a graduate with a degree in European Studies and Modern Languages. Having lived and studied most of his life on the continent he is fluent in French, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese. Lawrence is responsible for developing business in Southern Europe, particularly Italy and Spain.
Duplex Seminar & Summit 2012 directions
By Car: Stresa can easily be reached by car, by motorway, along the Milano – Laghi (A8) or Genova- Voltri-Sempione (A26). The exit is Carpugnino-Stresa.
By Railway: Being along the lines of an International European railway lines, Stresa can be easily reached by train from Milan, Gallarate, Arona, Domodossola. The distance from Milan’s Central Station is about an hour’s journey. The railway station of Stresa is located in Via Carducci, a five-minute walk from the Palazzo dei Congressi.
Milan Linate Airport: Stresa is 45 Km from Milan Malpensa and 95 Km from Milan Linate. Linate airport is connected to the Milan Central Station, with a bus service managed and controlled by ATM (Milan Transport Company). From Central Station a frequent train service guarantees connection with Stresa.
Milan Malpensa Airport: From Milan Malpensa Airport there is a daily bus service called ALIBUS SERVICE, which allows a connection with the airport to Stresa (and vice versa) during the high season. ALIBUS SERVICE must be booked by telephone on at least the day before the arrival in Italy, by 12.00 h local time – If not booked the service is not guaranteed to run.
