A New Chapter Begins - Management Changes at Brown McFarlane
A sad farewell
You may already have heard that Barry Morse, Group CEO since August 2009, is retiring at the end of July after eleven years with the company and will be leaving Brown McFarlane.
Barry has led Brown McFarlane's rapid transformation in to a truly global player in the specialist steel plate market serving customers in more than 50 countries around the world. Over the past 5 years Barry and his team have been instrumental in setting up new warehouse facilities in Dubai and Singapore.
His personal dedication to the organization is unsurpassed, Barry has visited customers and suppliers in 37 different countries giving the company one of the most comprehensive steel supply chains on the planet; and in one year spent 180 nights away from home while still managing to keep his marriage intact!
He leaves Brown McFarlane in ideal shape to service the demands of the world’s energy industries. It carries more stock and more products in more locations than at any time in its history; its processing capability continues to expand and improve; its quality and management systems are internationally recognized; and its customers benefit from a business that always puts their interests first.
We wish him well for the future and thank him for his contribution to our business. We are all going to miss him.
The team includes Andrew Webster, Managing Director - International Business who is responsible for all overseas business, Mick Burnett, Group Purchasing Director, Ian Johnson, Sales Director UK and Ireland, and David Smith, Sales Director Stainless Steel.
