Brown McFarlane honoured by local charity

The Douglas Macmillan Hospice provides all services free of charge to adults with life limiting illnesses in the North Staffordshire area as well as supporting the friends and families of the patients within their care.

The charity has said “We are working hard to deliver the most appropriate care closer to home, which encourages the development of patient choice and independence, so our patients may achieve the very best quality of life, at a time when they need it most.”

Brown McFarlane regularly donates to the Douglas Macmillan Hospice with funds raised from a “tuck” shop set up in the reception of their Stoke-On-Trent site. The small shop sells drinks and snacks with all profits going to the charity.

Having recently raised over eight hundred pounds, Douglas Macmillan chosen to honour Brown McFarlane’s continued commitment of donations with a space on their prestigious tree of donators.

Sited within the charities main office, the tree consists of bronze leaves engraved with a personal message from regular donators to show their thanks.

Representatives of the company recently went to the tree to see the company’s leaf, which has been engraved with names of employee’s family and friends lost to cancer. We thank the hospice for all its work and continue to support it in fundraising.

Brown McFarlane is extremely proud to be associated with the Douglas Macmillan Hospice. The company now intends to do more charity events, raising money for those who are truly in need.
