SA387 / A387 Grade 11 Class 2 | Brown McFarlane

More information

Highly effective, ASME SA387 Grade 11 Class 2 is used in a variety of industries.

A387/SA387 Grade 11 Class 2 Chrome Moly (Chromium Molybdenum) steel is alloyed with 1.25% Cr and 0.50% Mo.  These special alloys together give the steel enhanced mechanical properties (tensile & yield) at high working temperatures, along with excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance.

With excellent resistance to high temperatures and corrosion, this type of steel is commonly used in the oil, gas and power generation industry, chemical processing and nuclear power generation facilities. Our stock is ordered with enhanced chemistry and is suitable for retesting on multiple PWHT (Post Weld Heat Treatment) cycles, to meet the most stringent design specifications. You can be rest assured that your equipment will be safe from corrosion and perform at high temperatures.
